Powdercoating shop....
OK the place is Advanced Finishes in Jessup 410.888.9228. Tom Cox.
The office makes a bad impression but the shop and owner are just the opposite. He said $35 for bead blasting and $35 per coat for each wheel, $125 minimum. He has all the standard colors and a variety of grays. Odd colors that can be ordered in small quantities are $35 additional.
Said he's done a bunch of vette wheels and quite a few others. He showed me a Harley wheel in three coat orange.
The bad news: He said some wheels off gas when cooking causing flaws in the powder coat so the first one in is experimental. If anyone has a wrecked wheel, he'll try it.
The other bad news: takes two weeks (one if you provide a fully prepped wheel.
Seems like a decent choice.
