Prayers for Janet
You, by the way, you were not rambling, very clear and concise.
Later my friend,
Mark
PS: Remember to give her a big wet one from me...
Huge relief! Eventhough we (the Virgnia Beach folks) decided not to call you, Skip, we were all talking to each other in worry.
Her good news is the biggest
I've had all week - until I read that post I didn't realize just how worried I was for all of you - it is like having a weight pulled off your chest.....and I'm sure you know the feeling much more than I do.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon

Skip,
I pretty much echo everyone else here. I am sorry you and your family are going through this. My thoughts are with you and your family. I, too, wish Janet a quick recovery.

Well folks,
Of course, that's a relative
The results from the spinal tap showed nada!
She had zero white blood cells in the fluid. Average normal is like 5/whatever cubed. This means no crazy poop going on in her head other than some sharpwaves in the area where the abscess was accessed before.
Looks like she'll be able to come home Friday with course of action to treat as a "normal" (
) seizure. I believe the drug of choice is called Tepprin. If it works, it supposedly has the least deterimental side effects. If an erection lasts longer than 4 hours... oops, wrong drug!
No driving for six months. If she goes that long without another episode, she'll be able to drive again.
As you might be able to tell, relief has visited me.
We're not out of the woods and Janet is still scared(wouldn't we all be), but we are sooo thankful that an infection has not made its way back in there.
I am ever-indebted to you all.
You all have afforded me the opportunity to "get it off my chest." And while I haven't answered every PM yet, I will. Screw that, Janet won't be going anywhere soon, she can write.
Did I mention how relieved we are? And how thankful we are for all of you and your families? Truth.
