Default pulled over!!! AGAIN!!!

coming home from dinner, i got pulled over for expired tags. Which isn't that bad, except, i don't know why i haven't received it yet.

but anyway, the cop said he could give me a ticket for having an exhaust on my car, but won't but next time he sees me, he will.

so that gets me thinking. HKS is 50 state legal. what is the statute in the state of virginia? below 95 dbl? i wasn't even revving i was at idle so he couldn't possibly hear anything loud.

where can i find this information?

Oh man,ya think cops in Richmond would have better things to worry about right now(sniper) than your exhaust.

va state law basically says that if it did not roll off the factory line like the oficer sees it it is illegal so basically you can get a ticket for aftermarket wheels and the code is there just deep in the rules so as to not be easily seen lol just another tool they have against us

Hey David. I gotta idear!

Do you still have your stock pipes? If not, I highly suspect VA S2K won't mind lending you his...there just leaning up against his garage wall since he installed his HKS!

We could bolt the deal back up again for your court date. You could go into court and plead for the judge to have mercy since you returned your car to stock. Bring along pics and even drive your car right outside if you wanna say, "Come take a look for yourself, your honor!"

...Then we could swap 'em back out in two shakes!

...it *could* work!

Actually if you get the tags fixed before you go to court you will probably (75%) get the ticket dropped. As far as exhaust. I've gotten the same ticket more times than you can imagine. all you have to do is put your plates on somebody elses car that is the same color as yours with stock exhaust. Take a poleroid showing the plates and the stock exhaust and the ticket will get dropped. I've done it probably 25-30 times.

OMG! Chris, do you ever *work*...or do you just go to court for a living!

BTW...dkhl...sorry I misinterpreted your initial post. Thought the cop *did* write you up on illegal pipes. Glad he didn't.

[Prick either way...]
