Default Q on vented hoods

hey guys i just got a CF hood, that had airvents, now i was wondering when washing the car is there anything special i should do, will the soapy water do anything majorly harmfull to the engine bay? I do not have the waters shields or whut not.

ALso does anyone have pictures of painted Cf hoods? im trying to get design idea's. Thread links are fine, or other website links, you don't nessisarily have to post here as some of the 56kers, may have problems.
Thanx all
~Richard

Although I don't have a CF hood, I believe some people have created a type of rain guard / rain run off that routes the water away from the engine.

yeah they made those, i didn't get them, eah.... but whut about a paint scheme? some of the weave isn't good, but i got it at a great price i was thinking about painting it the same as the rest of the car (sebring) but leaving the vent area's still CF, this would cover up any bad weave. My other option is to go with a flat black, to keep the color of the CF but still leave those vent area's open so see the weave. good idea or bad idea? should i just straight cover it with paint?

If it's not raining, I might head over in that direction.
