Default Quick question

I hope someone may have some guidence for me. In a bout of being pissed off, I punched my steering wheel and dented the Honda emblem. I was just curious if this modular or I have to buy new front fascia. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

LoL I have the same dent on mine... I got the car like that

From what I have gathered, you need to get a new airbag ($200-300 I think) cuz that panel is the airbag cover and they dont come separately. You can't just remove and replace just the emblem. Then you have to get the airbag installed, so its a somewhat costly repair for something that small. Yes I see it all the time, and yes it bugs the hell out of me cuz I'm annoyed by little stuff like that. But sometimes you have to consider the cost I'll have it fixed some time down the line...just not now...

Nah OEM steering is good enough IMO. I wouldn't take out the OEM steering wheel unless I had my whole "safety system" redesigned. The airbag is meant to work in conjunction with everything else to provide you with optimal safety... As you can see from some of the recent unfortunate accidents on here, that the safety system works really well. Change any one element and you might end up with much worse results...

Besides the steering wheel in the S is already much smaller and more precise than a lot of other cars... no need to risk your life for bling...

Just my $.02

^ there are a few people out there where an air bag would be bad.... for instance Skyler... and air bag would be bad for him.. since he sits so close to the steering wheel... you have to remember the air bag comes out with enough force to break ones neck, break noses, give black eyes, yada yada yada.... if you sit close to the steering wheel it's usually better to not have a front air bag... but for the majority of us an air bag will save us...

As much as I would love to put a aftermarket steering wheel in, I will probably just suck it up and buy another airbag and learn my lesson the hard way.

Yea I see what you are saying...

But I would still take a broken nose and/or whiplash from the airbag over having my skull cracked open or something much worse that could happen if my head were to hit something solid like a steering wheel... Esp since a lot of them out there have exposed metal spokes and everything... not a pretty site
