you don't really want to run a 5 point harness on the street anyways... it limits your ability to turn to view your blind spots, will also limit your ability to tuck incase of a roll over... (hense the reason you need a roll bar)....

You've apparently never seen Dan drive - entire head & neck out the window to check blind spots.

If it ends up coming down to it I'll probably take my car to a shop and have a custom roll-bar fabricated - then take it to a show and have it either painted or powdercoated.

I'm curious as well, I just put a Bride Zeta 3 seat in my car with a pretty low seating position. I passed the broom test by 2 inches and am now wondering if there is a safe way to mount a 5 point harness.
You passed the broom test by 2 inches??? are you 5 foot tall? Im guessing you placed a broom on the roll hoop?
Im 6'1" with sparco evos that are real low and I have to slouch to pass the broom test with my roll bar thats 4 inches higher than the stock roll hoops

5'10" w/ no butt, Bride Zeta 3 w/ the lowest possible setting on the lowest sitting Bride brackets. And yes, from the windshield frame to the roll hoop.

I just went out a took some pictures, I had about a 1/4" gap from the top of my hat to the top of my head to help simulate a helmet being on. It might be a tad bit less than 2 inches. Overall, there's no real good way to mount a harness without a bar, so I'll be running the factory 3 point until I can get a bar.

BTW, I took these pictures my self so they aren't the greatest, nor was I in the completely proper driving position due to hanging my arm out above the door taking the photos (I probably would have been a tit lower w/ both hands on the wheel).

If I was lucky Dan, I'd have an Elda Bar. And you're right, you do have big head.

A helmet would be very, very close to touching.
