Which radar bands does the law use around here?

Which radar bands does the law use around here?
I want to call on the local brainpower here.
I'm currently shopping around for a radar detector, and one of my questions concerns which bands are most frequently used.
In your experience, do police favor one band (X, K, Ka) over the others?

Most I've seen is K. More rare is Ka. Even rarer is laser. BUT - it depends on where you drive. In Rockville they use laser quite a bit. Also, when you're coming off the Bay Bridge, you have a 50% chance that the MSP is there waiting for you with laser past the toll booth...
