Yeah, i know that radar detectors are illegal in Virginia. but i'm still thinking about getting one just because. But i'm not sure of a good place to hide it. When i had one in my civic i put it in the passenger sun visor. What i did was disconnect the left side of the visor (like i was gonna swing it around to block sun coming in from side) and then put the radar detector there. the visor squeezed the radar between itself and the roof so it set nice and firm. if i was ever pulled i just unplugged her, smacked the visor down so the detector fell on the floor, then pushed it under the seat. no evidence.
i was hoping to do the same in the S, but as we all know, you cant disconnect one side of the visor to wedge it in there. So does anyone have any good suggestions on where i can hide one? i was thinking about the rear just infront of the aero glass, but i know thats to far back, it needs to be closer to front window.
Any suggestions?

thanx,
chad

Not that I have one or that I would ever endorse using one But if someone did decide to use a device like that you might clip it to the driver's side visor, and chuck it under the driver's seat if it needed to be taken down so that no one would steal it

I think you would be able to run the cord up through the A-pillar, right?

When I was visiting a different state I noticed that such devices had clips or suction cups to mount to the visor or windshield respectively. It is my experience that windshields display different characteristics when in the VA atmosphere than other states causing things to not mount well with suction cups. I have noticed however that some things do mount easily to the S2000 visor ex- mirrors, post-it-notes, cd holders.

if you check under north texas forum, they show you how to hard wire it into the map lights, so no connections to the cigarette lighter. let me see...

found it
