$600.00 an axle!? jeeeez. $790.00 is a deal. . .i guess. . .

vibration under acceleration caused by inner cv joints--

i would have just bought the inner cv joint kit. it comes with the housing, bearings, bearing holder, retainer clips, cv joint grease, boots, and boot clamps. you can get the kit for about $200.00 a side.

(#'s 1, 5, 7, 9, and 12)

overhauling the axle takes a bit more work, and can get pretty messy- but the money saved is worth it i think.

if anyone needs axle rebuild/s with new inner or outer joint/s:
take your axles out and bring them to me, i'll install the joints for $50.00 an axle with a quick turn-around time.

How can you do an inspection yourself to see if it's the CV?

Take it off, clean out old grease and inspect. If it looks like this:

then you need to replace them. Swapping them from side-to-side is a bandaid that sometimes works. It didn't in my case and I ended having to do the work twice.

Also, I believe billman250 had a way to check without even removing the wheels.
