Default Red Calipers With Silverstone s2000 Logo

Well, bit the bullet and painted the calipers this weekend. Here are the pics...
Getting started....
Put the car up on the jackstands.....this was the PITA b/c I couldn't get the car high enough without a hydrolic jack (a must have I now convinced)

Next preping the wheel (steel brush and brake dust remover, then tape off areas like the brake pad and rotor
Next was the painting process which required MULTIPLE COATS to get a smooth finish. Sometimes the paint would begin to clump (I added too much hardner).
And here's the finished product...

If I had to do it again I would have a hydrolic jack, and taken the caliper off. In the long run that would have saved time.

-So what do you guys think?

you're good now, i can see them.

when you say you needed a hydraulic jack, do you just mean you needed a real jack instead of the spare tire one?

the calipers look good with the SSRs, such an open spoke design needs painted calipers

True...true... But "a real man's jack" won't fit in our trunk as conveniently .

Cali's look . Looking forward to checking out all your recent upgrades on Sunday's C'ville meet/drive

They look sweet, when and if I get my car back I am going to do this. I plan on taking the calipers off for painting.

How did you do the Logo, was it a decal or did you paint it on too?

The logo was a decal that they are not selling anymore on this site. PM me and I can tell you how to get one.

Hmmm....I will have to take a look at these on Sunday. Very tempting.... But anyhow, looks great! Now all you need is some new rotors!
