The Refinishing Process
So how good are modern day single stage paints? Also a lot cheaper to do?
I was reading up on a racecar build in another forum and he was planning on doing single stage for the ease of touching up and fixing stuff later. I imagine not having to blend and then re-clear an entire panel it's easier to fix small spots? Is that true?

It cheaper but fades after time. In Europe white and red car are hated for that reason. Most single stage paint is used today for low-end body work. Yes, it is easier to fix small spots and touch ups. It takes a bit longer to cure and has a nasty odor days after it's refinished. Also, the paint is really easy to buff through sharp edge, body lines... Sorry, I don't have a whole lot of experience with single stage. I like BC/CC it has a nice glossy appearance.
