However, one of my friend's was telling me that if you smoke up at a place that's legal and you get drug tested at work, they can't do anything to you because you never did anything illegal. to me. Plus check the laws in Amsterdam. From what I recall, it's actually a misconception that it's legal to smoke there. Not that the cops crack down on it at all (at least they didn't when my friend and I were there). Also re-read your company's drug policy. If it doesn't make explicit reference to any exceptions/exemptions, then they probably have a "if you test positive, you're fired" sort of policy.
