Default Riped Soft Top

ok heres what happen...today i was driving around and noticed that i have about a half an inch hole in my soft top on my passenger side...Im not very happy about this situation but wanted to know if you get the hole fixed on your soft top does it look like shit and where could i get it fixed at?Thanks

Sorry bud, it happens on all the S2000s. Nonetheless, have you been out to any of our hampton road meets? Are you on VADriven?

I too have this rip and wouldn't mind seeing any answers to your question. For now I've taped it up from the inside so it wouldn't get any bigger which it will if you don't.

What kind of tape did you use? ya im on vadriven but i dont post much on there....and i havnt been to any meets yet...i usually work friday nights and then saturday mornings so its hard for me to make it to the meets....

i used black duct tape on the inside before the holes became a problem and the areas seem to be under control now.

You can always shoot for a 'good will' repair from Honda. If its the typical spot(I'd have to look at it), you have a greater chance of them repairing it at no charge. Even though my 06 was under warranty and it was covered, Checkered Flag replaced the top and they knew very well of this common wear spot.

i wish i could say the same about the honda dealerships on my end. i brought them a few TSB reports and they looked at me like i'm some dumb kid who knew nothing.

i just went to walmart bought a sheet of black vinyl and glued it on the problem area with some glue made for patchin vinyl. holding up very well.

my soft top has like 4-5 holes, my father could fix it, he's a master mechanic at mclean/tysons bridestone firestone, he told me it was a couple of bucks to fix.

ive seen the damage from the typical wear spot on Pete's car. it seems to be a defect on certain cars cause mine didnt have the burrs on the soft top frame but pete's did
