There were some talks the other day on the Mid-A Facebook page about a caravan leaving Thursday morning from Columbia, MD. I was planning on joining that one with my friend's '13 FRS.

We haven't worked out details yet, but I'm guessing we will be departing fairly early in the morning then taking the usual 81S to ??

I'll be coming from Richmond, likely leaving my area Thursday morning....at least that's the plan for now. I might be interested in meeting up with some others along the way depending on the timing.

My current plan is to leave Columbia, MD on Tuesday and drive 275 miles to Roanoke for an overnight, then to drive the remainder to Robbinsville (to Tapoco Lodge for their special dinner) 335 miles on Wednesday. Weds will probably be at least 165 miles down I-81, then either down 23 to Asheville and 74 or taking one of the other routes off of I-81 for some warm-up twisty roads though will have a load in the trunk and on the Surco trunk rack so nothing too spirited until we check in and unload. Could take 172 to 107 to 208 to 209 to 23 to 74 for more fun. I'm totally unsure of what is the "best" route to go from Roanoke to Robbinsville.

Anyone else staying at the luxury option at Historic Tapoco Lodge?

On Sunday, planning the reverse, back 335 miles to Roanoke, working there on Monday and then driving home Monday evening or Tuesday depending on work needs. If my potential new job thing works out like I want, then I wouldn't start until mid April so this plan would be moved up a lot with potentially going to Raleigh and Charlotte starting the weekend before if I can get the time-off. Perhaps get to FD earlier in the week, if so, will start at the MicroTel for a few days. I need to have better than FD internet access and cell service which I can get in Robbinsville at either or both of those places.

I'm meeting up with the NY metro crew around 11am near 81/66 on Wednesday. I think it will be 10-12 of us.
