the shop removed the plastic from around the stock hoop. in trying to put just the stock hoop back in, the seatbelt mount was hitting the downbar..

I can take photos later.. but i'll give it a whack with the trimmed pieces

It's a bit of a puzzle getting the hoop over the seat belt cross beam, but it can be done.

Taking the plastic off the hoops is a big They are not meant to be separated from the steel hoop, and are very difficult to glue back together. The hoop plastic was originally plastic welded together with an embedded wire in the hoop.

I got mine in and completed this weekend! I do have a question, I think I was supposed to but I did unplug the harnesses that go to the seat belt reels and now my airbag light is on. How do I fix that? I have a feeling a read something about only the dealer being able to fix it.

That's the SRS light.. i'd do a search.. there is a paperclip fix, but there are a few people in mid-A that need that too.

Like Allison said that's the SRS system. You can pay Honda $70 to turn it off or search out the paperclip fix. I need to do this as well. I haven't found a thread with good instructions/pictures yet. Also, haven't spent much time looking.

Found a decent thread that described what you had to do. Might give it a shot. If not I have a couple friends that work at different Honda dealers that might be able to help me out. Lights on the dash like that just drive me nuts.

Wow that's amazing teamwork. Is that the HD bar w/o the diagonal?

Elda bar - precursor to the HD. It has removable diagonal and harness bars.

Btw - some of you might get a kick out of this. When we were at Oleg's and I was foaming in the cuts, I would fill the area with foam.. and then it would sink down.. so i added more. When we were parked at Dogfish Head after... I noticed a huge glop of foam on the ground under the car.. apparently it decided to expand after the fact One of the subbie guys picked it up.. and promptly stuck his fingers into the damp center of it.. and made his fingers all sticky. He didn't have you all there to tell him to use gloves...
