Default Scratch Repair...

I just moved here, and I had my car shipped on an open carrier. I was so happy to see her for the first time in over two weeks, then I noticed the dumbass driver scraped her up pretty bad. It looks like a set of keys scratched a few inches by my door and on the passenger side, he scraped her up against tree branches. So I want to know of a good shop in the Arlington or Alexandria area to get her patched up and looking good. I think the branch marks can be buffed out, but not the key scratches. Timely suggestions would be greatly appreciated because I want to go by tomorrow to get an estimate. Thanks!!!

Gavin

Well, from my experience, unless the scratches are bad enough, its not worth it to jeopardize the factory paint. I suppose in the end, it depends on how much of a perfectionist you are. Usually, it costs a bundle to basically respray the entire area so it looks brand new again... I know...its heartache!!!

BEST OF LUCK THOUGH!!!

Whoops, just realized you actually needed to know the location of a shop--- sorry! I know of one in Rockville- Autobody Creations. I've had good experiences with them...however, the manager looks/sounds/talks like a sleazy used-car salesman.

Hey Gavin

How are you liking Alexandria so far?

Sorry to hear about the scrapes - I hope that works itself out eventually.

Sen, I forgot to mention that I'm making the car mover pay for it, so that's not a huge issue. However, I wouldn't mind staying a little closer to home today because I have to move in my furniture. I've been sleeping on my roommates futon for the past week. Thanks for the advice, if I don't go today, I'll check that place out!

Hey Poindexter, I like it here so far, but I really haven't done anything partially since I don't know that many people in the area yet. Tonight, I'm going to try to go out to a club or bar and tomorrow if weather permits, I'm going to go play some ice hockey.
