I'm sorry to hear about your seats, that would suck. I hope they catch whoever is responsible for it.

It's sad to say, but every time I read a thread like this I'm glad I have a garage... I do worry when I take the car out for dinner or to run errands.

We looked at those apts a while ago, they're not that bad,

I don't want to whore your thread, but I sent a message to Kodokan_4 asking for up to date info on his seat locks and maybe a group buy discount if enough people are interested. Maybe if these losers start to see more and more people have seat locks...it might help keep them off our precious. I also asked for a small window decal stating car has seatlocks so dont bother breaking in or something like that. I don't mean to speak for everyone, but I do think some of us would like to buy these locks.

I'm interested in the seat locks. I think it'll only be a matter of time before we see that in the Balt. area.

Also, someone mentioned those numbers that you hide somewhere under the seat. They're supposed to stick on but are hard to remove. Don't remember what exactly it was, just going off memory here.

I'm sorry to hear about this. Totally sucks. I've been getting a little nervous about parking my car outside anywhere for an extended period of time

I think they prefer a softtop because it's quiet - breaking glass is not quiet. And it might not be so much that the neighborhood you're in is "ghetto" but that you're near a main highway (of sorts). My brother had his Accord broken into multiple times living in a nice apartment complex in a nice neighborhood (surrounded by nice neighborhoods) BUT it was RIGHT near 370/270... easy getaway.

Good luck with the fix. At least a new top will be nice.

Kodokan_4 doesn't do group buy discounts.

I know what you mean...this is the first month of ownership that I have not had a garage for my S! I guess I took it for granted too long.

Regarding the seat locks, Id also be interested in a group buy for the Mid-A (even if there is no discount, now I realize they are worth it!).

The appraiser comes out today to give me an estimate on the cost to repair, in the mean time thanks for all the support/input, this board truly is a great community!

Gosh...what a bummer. I'm wondering if this is an organized bunch of thieves. They seem to get in, know what they are doing, and not tear up the car in the process, as vandals would do. Is there any way to check with the police to see if anyone has been caught from all these seat thefts in NOVA?

Here was my response....I hope this helps everyone:

Hey, Mike-

I've got plenty of Seat Locks from the current group buy that's going on.

The price is already the group buy price, I can't get the Seat Locks any cheaper.

The Seat Lock stickers are available, but they are only sold to those who purchase the Seat Locks.

Here's a link to the current Seat Lock thread:
