You know what I noticed today? All the people smashed into the jersey barriers were SUVs. Nothing but sand/salt helps with ice. This combined with the fact that everyone drives like an asshole in this weather makes for a bad situation. Today, it seemed as though everyone had something to prove...

At this point yeah. If I have to drive to Fredericksburg tomorrow for a meeting I can just use your car, right? Your tires are good, yeah? Insurance still current?

You don't mind, do you? Thanks you're the best!

I went out yesterday morning for a bit, since I knew what was coming. Parked the Perkymobile back in her garage space about 30 min before it started snowing. Hibernated the rest of the day and watched football on my new plasma tv. This morning's walk to the subway was dicey, though. Ice, ice, ice...

Sure, those RE050s work great in the snow! Super dritfo ftw!

I knew I should have kept the keys to my car!

My MR2 fish-tailed like crazy yesterday. I thought that since the engine is (almost) above of the rear drive wheels, it would handle a little bit better in the snowy weather. WRONG.

And what's the deal with all the ass-hat SUV drivers out there going over the speed limit? AWD don't mean shit in this weather if you still have on your stock radials - especially the idiot in the black Explorer that lost control on Wilson Blvd.

All the accidents and unintentional off-roaders I saw or heard about yesterday were SUVs... Like the one who lost control and was humping a power transformer box... And the one that came over a hill SIDEWAYS while the first guy coming the other direction got out of the way, but the guy behind him took a brand new sideways Lexus SUV to the face. Or the one that was trying to climb a power pole...

And of course, the one in the video posted earlier in this thread.

DC-area drivers + SUV drivers + this weather = chaos.
