So I almost died...
My AC at home broke a couple of days ago so it's been 
for me lately...
So when a huge downpour started outside today, I threw on my swim trunks and went outside with my brother... we thought it'd be funny to throw the football around in the rain. It felt so good.
So we get the football out of the car, my brother puts the car keys in the mailbox... BAM!!! my left ear is intensely ringing. I don't know what the hell just happened...
As I stood there a little stunned, then about a quarter mile in front of me, another BAM! Then my brother said "dude, I'm outta here" and ran inside. I was like, "Holy Spit, did we just almost get struck by lightning"...
I came back outside, and saw where it had hit. It was a tree about 10 yards behind us... my brother said he saw the metallic surface inside of the mailbox flash (must've been a reflection) when it hit, so it must have been that tree.
Here's the pic I took - note the piece of broken wood a couple yards away from the tree.

good thing you didn't get hit tho..... i could just imagine the news cast.... "idiot and friend decide to play football during thunderstorm and get struck by lightening...."
