As of Sunday evening, April 8, these voting stands as follows:

Most popular day(s) - April 28 followed by April 14 and 21 ... all Saturdays, so before I go further ...

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'll be working overtime on some Saturdays beginning April 14, so that basically takes me and my +1 out of this meet and drive. Would someone who is going to be able to participate coordinate with other likely participants to organize the final details?

You just found out that your the great great great great great...(keep going until your satisfied) descendent of king (your last name) and need to stand in line to collect your inheritance due to his/her untimely death ;-)

If this April meet and drive in middle/southern SOMD is going to happen on a Saturday, better that the participants make the choices to go or not, and any specifics. (Once I know I'm clear of weekend overtime for a while, probably in May, I'm willing to try again for a middle/southern SOMD meet and drive.)

One alternative: alter the route for the April meet and drive to more middle/northern SOMD, make it on Sunday April 29 (using suggestions for roads in that area that have been posted in this topic) that ends at Rip's (map) just before heading over to the
CPT Charity Meet in Bowie, then organize a middle/southern SOMD meet and drive in May or later.

Without more room in the poll to add multiple questions about who would like to keep the April meet and drive as-is, or make changes, please post with your preference(s). Thanks!

If several drivers are in favor of this April meet and drive being on Sunday April 29 through central/northern SOMD and ending at Rip's, here's a suggested route map that starts in Huntingtown, MD and takes about 95+ minutes to drive. It uses some of the roads suggested for that area and more toward the Chesapeake Bay shore, then on toward the CPT Charity Meet. If meeting at Rip's mid to late morning, this drive shouldn't be very long. Some roads suggested but not a part of this alternative could be used for a later meet and drive.

Those from southern SOMD who wouldn't want to travel on this alternate could take part in the next SOMD meet and drive, perhaps in May, that would look more like the April meet and drive orginally planned (central and southern SOMD).

Please post regarding whether you favor the central/south route originally planned, on a primary and backup Saturday (choosing between April 14, 21 and 28), or whether you favor the alternate central/north route on Sunday April 29 to arrive at Rip's prior to attending the CPT Charity Meet with the possibility of a May or later meet and drive that is central and south. Of course both are possible!

(my preference is for Sunday April 29 this month and a central/south drive in May or early June, because that way I might be able to do both )

Since no one is saying much, based on the weather foreguessed, I'd say that people who can and want to go on a Saturday in April should plan to go Saturday April 14 with Saturday April 28 as a backup and/or 'rain date'. If you're 'in' for April 14, please say so and communicate with others who are also 'in'. (I'll be at work those Saturdays.)

If a Saturday group is not a 'go' at anytime in April, I think I'll plan one for the second half of May or early June.

Assuming I'm able to go to the CPT Charity Meet on Sunday April 29, I'll be at the Huntingtown Park and Ride (or an alternative starting point we choose) early enough to have a drive that ends at Rips (overflow parking), then join up with other S2K's headed for the Charity Meet. Details on that to follow, once we know what time to meet at Rips. (click for proposed route to Rips)
