Default Someone's S2000 impounded by Fairfax 5-0

Driving back to my girl's place in Tysons, from Adams Morgan; I took the key bridge on my way to I-66. Started noticing the side roads were closed off by Fairfax County's finest. Up ahead a sobriety check point. Talk to the nice officer, and start weaving through the cones in order to get to I-66, my girlfriend asks, "how many people do you think they catch on a night like this?" "I don't know" I answer, and say "but if they do, you go to jail and they take your car, just like that one on the tow truck." At that time, I glance over to the tow truck, and loaded onto it, is a shiny white/red S2000. Both of us see the car and our mutual reaction is "oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh "
Poor little S2000.
Atleast it was being flatbedded.

Be careful out there guys, don't and , or it could be your S2000 sitting on top of that tow truck.

It stinks to have your car taken away; nevertheless it is more dangerous to yourself and people around you to drink and drive. Across from my house there is a guy with a gen 1 miata. The other night he was plastered and apparently came cruising down my street at about 60mph. Right outside of his house he ran head first into a Mazda belonging to someone else. He lived; but his miata was totaled and so is the old Mazda. The police came and took him away right outside of his front door. I just think about what would have happened if I came home 20 minutes later and I was driving and that fool ran head first into me in my S2K. It's frightening. Stay safe so we can all enjoy our S2Ks before it's too late.

My roommate got caught the other night, but somehow he only got a reckless ticket. But the cop noted on the ticket alcohol was involved. Nobody in the car blew under .08. Otherwise, somebody else could've drove the car home.

Trust me, if you drink and drive (especially in FFX County) they'll catch you eventually. They're cracking down real hard.

not to be a kill-joy, but if you are drinking and driving, you deserve to get the tow hook.

S TWO K,
Your roomate was probably too close to .08 for him to be cited with a DUI. It's not worth the cops time if your that close to the legal limit. By the time they do the tests & get up to their ADC, they can't legally get the DUI.
I agree with AStock...if you drink & drive you deserve the tow.

Drive safe.

Thought I would share his experience, he went to FFX court today, and the survey says.......

$200 fine + court costs
$400 asap classes
guilty on reckless ticket 80 something in a 55
90 day license suspension, restricted license granted.

He was caught on Rt 66 about a month ago.
