This is a poll/feeler thread on what we should do this summer and as well roll into the fall season. The word on the street is Starbucks is played out right now. (I agree until it gets cold again)
I have have thought out some suggestions on what we as a fam should do to get more people to come out the house and have fun/participate. I totally understand me having a wife and 3 kids that priorities come first (Military/Work/Family) but damn the last few meets have been really weak. So now is the time to speak up and voice your suggestions/opinions on what we can do to bump up the intrest of our region. We should all have a big get together before Josh (slows2k) goes back to Texas too. I suggest we do something every other week and 1 big thing a month ex Wash/wax/mod day, drive, cookout etc. Please feel free to leave your comments, or thoughts.

Why limit it to just one event? If you're going to try and plan a huge end of summer bash, why not do a full day event?

What I'd suggest is something like this :
Saturday
10:00 am : Meet Starbucks
11:00 am : Leave Starbucks in Route for Williamsburg Run
2:00 pm : End Drive
2:30 pm : Late Lunch
5:00 pm : Movie at AMC Hampton 24
8:00 pm : Bowling / Drinking / Socializing

It'd be a very tiring day in the end, however it's a great end of summer bash.

 

Terry, i totally agree with you, we need to spice things a bit. maybe even change do meets on sundays. MOd day always draws a larger crowd with cookouts or potlucks, IMO.

Bear, You have done a great job as "CO". I agree with you on asking in person as well. People will probally voice more on the fourm.
