Weather Permitting...!!
I was thinking about a excursion into West VA next Sunday and doing some asphalt surfing.
Anyone interested?
This is not a organized drive, nothing really planned out, just hi-speed touring on some of the best and most scenic roads I have found.

Hey Matt,
The Far West end of my route loop is Rt. 219 and 72, maybe 75 miles SE? From Morgantown.
I am thinking that maybe we could meet up in Parsons? Say around 1:00, but I cannot really judge my timing as I have only been there on the bike a few times. I tend to make much better time on the MC, and Cell phones don't really work to well in that area.
Let me see if anyone else is interested and we can firm up some plans.

Ok looks like some interest
Here is the loose plan
Meet at the Sheetz at Rt 66 and 15 in Haymarket VA at 8:30-45 and leave by 9:00 (take 15 South from 66, the Sheetz is a 1.8 mile on left)
Meeting in Haymarket
Slab out 66 to 81 then 55 west into WVA (twisties) 42North from Petersburg to 50 west, into MD than 219 south back into WVA to 72 S
All these roads have many mountain passes with hairpins and fast sweepers, but 72s is like something out of the Alps, 1 car wide in many places, hairpins galore and postcard scenic.
Then either 32north across Canaan valley to 90 then 50 east back to VA and home or 32S to 55east back to VA.
Figure on about 350 miles round trip from the Sheetz on 66.

i might join in, could meet up as you drive by 340 on 66... do you plan on using FRS? if so, let me know what channel, as you get close you can give a shout so i can watch for you.
of course you do realize this interferes with F1 race....

I can do that, I had the radio set at 7/0 from the last time I used it.
Are you gonna bring the 360 out to play?
You have a VCR no?

i will flip a coin.... actually, i will look at weather reports, no clouds allowed in tri-state area. am in the predicament of wanting to drive, but have already had it down for a run in richmond, signed up for fall colors and thinking maybe dragon if work schedule allows. what the heck, insurance people never actually check your mileage, right?
yes, but it ain't no tivo, so i usually like to record while there so i can skip all the comemercials. not a big deal though since i could always watch/record the repeat showing.

George,
turns outs my brother is going with me to WVU and I doubt that he wants to go on a s2k run (especially if he's not driving). Wish that I could be in the mix.
Why don't I see you name on the fall colors list?
