Thumping sound from the rear

Here is the link from under the hood. Need some help since I will not be able to get the car to a mechanic till tuesday.

Check your CV boot or axle nut. I wouldn't drive on it, if it is the cv boot. Ask Kevin what happens when you do.

Its weird that it stops when you apply the brakes.

I have no idea what it would be, but I'm sure Peter is close.
