Tire Leak: Good Place for Patch or Replacement?
Hey all,
I walked out this morning to see my left rear tire looking a little low. I checked...14psi. I found a piece of metal in the tread about 1.5in from the outer edge. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to take the car in the NOVA/Sterling area where I could possibly get a temp patch. My buddy who is a mechanic @ Rosenthal Honda told me not to patch the tire because there is an unknown amount of mileage on the punctured tire and warping has already occurred. Any ideas?
Thanks so much for your help!

Well since nobody else seems to have experience in this area, I thought I would let everyone know that I got the tire patched by Curry's Automotive out by Dulles. They were great & did a fast job at plugging the tire. I just hope it holds. Seems to be fine now. I guess it comes down to where the puncture is and weather or not they feel as if it is safe to plug the puncture. They also gave me lots of compliments on the S even with a handful of exotics sitting in their parking lot!
So my recommendation for fixing a puncture would be Curry's if anyone cares.
