Default TORNADO

hey did anyone see the tornado on rt 28? i was at work and saw the whole funnel cloud form and touch down. it was pretty crazy, kinda like the movie twister. i thought my S2k was going to get blown away
i'll try to get pics from my buddies phone camera.

that is insane, i never heard of a tornado touching down in northernva.

yeah i could see that from my house...i saw the kids next door pointing and yelling and i was going to get some chinese. when i was leaving they pointed and were like 'Dont go that-a-way man!!' so i looked and man, it was pretty much just like that picture!

i still went and got some chinese...

They are rare here but NOT unheard of. I remember the one that went through Seven Corners back in 1980 damaged hundreds of cars at Koon's Ford and in the parking lots at the Oakwood Apartments where I lived at the time.

I rode it out in my Honda Prelude at the intersection of Wilson & Roosevelt Blvds not realizing that a tornado was passing within about one hundred yards of me as it was raining so hard I could not see past the windshield even with the wipers going at full speed.
