Default Towing Recommendation?

I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for getting my car from Gaithersburg to Manassas (PTuning). It has to be a flatbed (of course) but since it's about 50 miles, it's looking to be about $225-250 to tow ($60 hookup, $3/mile) from the towing company that PTuning recommended...

I guess it just seems like a lot of money for a tow, but maybe not?

Thanks!

Chris, anyone local that has AAA+ can help you tow for a 100 miles at a time. Can you find anyone local that has that membership?

Maybe you can rent a trailer from U-haul and tow it down yourself?

Maybe a AAA membership would be cheaper?

AAA+ membership is definitely about $ 100 cheaper than $225.

But anyone can use AAA towing privileges, as long as the member(and the card) is present at the pickup. That is cheaper by $225.

U haul car dolley? Of course you would need a truck and a hitch and to do it when there is minimal traffic!

Chris, anyone who has AAA can get it towed for you. As far as I know the holder of the card needs to be present.

Thanks for the recommendation. The neighbor across the street from my dad has AAA and has volunteered to call them when needed. Thanks!

You can put me in line to help. I can tow just about anything now. You'd just have to get a trailer. I wouldnt charge anything though.
