you won't need a roll bar for summit
not true.... this is only true for Friday at the Track....

it truely all comes down to who runs the event... even with a roll bar you won't be able to run in SCCA or NASA events unless the roll bar is certified by them... for instance if you have a cusco bar.. you're pretty much screwed.. cuase SCCA and NASA will not approve that bar... elda bar fits the requirements of SCCA however, SCCA has changed some rules (to my knowledge) and i believe the older one is not approved anymore... (the one you have dan)...

scca does not have any street car lapping groups. any street car needs work done, fuel cells, seats, harness, bar, etc.

NASA has HPDE and stock s2k's can go out without roll bars.

individual club events can make safety requirements more restrictive, but SP itself lets us out and most events that I have seen there let it go at that.

My S2000 has about 1000 Summit Point miles on it. The only mod I had to make for FATT was better brake pads and Ate Super Blue fluid.

The S2000 is a fantastic track car and if you exercise just a bit of caution, you won

The last FATT I went to at Summit, a GTO did a few 360s then hit the wall on the main straight and a very nice blue 350Z went back into the woods. I forget which turn the 350 was on but from what I heard he was trying to pass around a turn. Accidents can happen, but if you drive in your limits and don't go crazy you should be cool, they always stress that its not a race

Unless dan wants to actually RACE his car, he will never need anything more... Solo 1 requires a roll bar I believe, but I havnt seen one of those events around here for a year or so...
