VA S2000's
I just punted Geico.
Combined with a 99 Ford Explorer, a MY02 warranted $612 every 6 mos.
Allstate was willing to do the whole thing for around 450.
Guys, you gotta mention what you carry, or else youre comparing apples and oranges!
(100/300/300, including roadside assist and rental coverage. Married 33 y/o, both perfect driving records, and got discount for also having h/o insurance with allstate).

I pay $175/month with USAA. That's after totalling my first S2k and a ticket or two though. They really came through with me after my wreck. They handled everything. Before that I was paying $130/month or so.

nHobbes: Your premium is probably high for the following reasons:
Gender, Age, Marital Status.
I got married at age 27, and my premium fell thru the floor. I hit the age barrier, and went thru the "Responsible Adult" thing all at the same time.
26 or so is the magic number where insurance companies start treating single guys with clean records decently.
I think just for the S, I'm paying about $320 every 6 mos. Combined with the Explorer it works out to around a little over $900 a year.
If youre in Virginia, are you in the "State Plan"? (This is the rate high risk drivers can always get, no matter what -- you get assigned to an insurance company). When I was real young, even with a clean driving record, this was cheaper for me than any other option. If you talk to an agent who only deals with one company, he probably won't tell you this.
