Default Vortech Question?.....

I got underneath my car today and noticed directly under the supercharger the frame had oil on it, nothing on the ground, but there was a decent amount under there, Checked the dipstick, quart low, nothing out of the ordinary. so I look up near the oil filter and on the back of the blower itself, I see an empty threaded hole with a tiny drip, nothing steady, maybe a drip every 10 minutes. The whole underneath of the engine had oil residue on it, as if this has been going on for a bit. The motor was fine, dry and unharmed from sight, car feels fine as well. I changed the oil, started the car, nothing. Im gonna drive the car for a bit and see if this same thing happens, I just wanted to see if anyone has had experience with this? ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!!!!!

Thanks alot!

Brian

My comptech leaked a bit from the braided oil return line, I replaced it problem solved.

It was a Pita to replace.

Just make sure you are not loosing a lot of oil

Ok, I drove 130 miles today, hard miles...

I come home, check the oil (that I just replaced) and it looks to still be at capacity. Now it IS 9 at night, so its kinda dark, gonna check again in the morning. Thanks for the advice george, Im gonna check all my lines this week and try and get a picture of what I think is the problem.

My Vortech leaked from several points originally.

Like George said, check the steel braided oil lines. Both ends tend to leak. Also I suggest checking the vtec solenoid gasket area. That is another common Vortech leaking location. Hopefully you find it because those bearing get pretty angry if they are oil starved.
