Default VOTE Tuesday!

As if all of the political commercials and mailings haven't gotten to you.. Remember that at the VERY LEAST, you should participate in our representative democracy and VOTE.

Tuesday is Election Day. Take a few minutes to educate yourself on the issues, on the candidates and get out there and VOTE.

No excuses. Go before work. Go at lunch. Take half a day. Go after work. File absentee. It only happens once every two years, the least you could do is take a few minutes to contribute your vote to the process.

What is more truly American than voting?

VOTE!

That's if there's a candidate on the ballot that represent your interests.

I would actually argue that voting for SOMEONE is better than not voting at all... as there's likely to never be a candidate that you find fully represents every issue that you care about. You've got to have at least a passing interest in the economy, the war, and taxes if not any of the other issues. Since the candidates are all taking a stance on these issues, surely one of them represents some of your beliefs.

I dunno, I'm not here to lecture or anything, but I definitely feel that everyone who is eligible owes it to themselves to read up on the issues and vote.

I absolutely agree with you that people should get educated about the candidates/issues, but the sad fact is that most people in this country don't take the time to read up on it. But is it really better to vote ignorantly for some random candidate/referendum than to not vote at all? I don't know.

I concur on being educated about the issues - it should be about the candidates and not the parties.

And, it turns out, if you haven't voted absentee yet and planned to, you MUST go to the polls. DO IT!

I'd vote for John Kerry if he was running.

Anyone know the requirements for being a write-in candidate?
