Hey guys,
I have a question which hopefulyl someone can answer for me. My buddy, in all his great glory, got green wax flakes/dust on my softop. Now these things won't brush off. Any ideas on a softtop safe way to remove them?
Thanks guys,
Dan

first i'd try some car wash soap and a soft brush (something that wouldn't hurt if rubbed on the back of your hand) using light pressure. might want to look into some 303 protectant as well (www.autodetail.com).

also, check in the detailing forum.

303 also makes a cleaner which takes off bird dung, sap, etc. Follow the instructions then apply the protectant. Use an upholstery brush which you can buy at Pep Boys, etc. Not too stiff. Great stuff.

I think washing top with dawn dish soap should get rid of the wax.

cheapest way is dish soap...it'll work. It'll also break down the wax if you use it on the rest of your car though....

Would Dawn be the best choice in soap?
