busy in the SOVA/Beach area that we cant together for a meet? I know Chad's been really busy lately and there's always "local" gatherings.(side note:I miss wing night ) but we really need to come up with some ideas here and get another meet together. Last time we had a good turnout in this area was the Red Robin meet that Wingman just whipped up out of the blue and that turned out great. Now I know the first response will be "well what do you have in mind whitenukl?" My suggestion would be to just throw out some ideas and see what sticks. Richmond is boring and I never hear of anyone around here doing anything so I have nothing to suggest around here. But anyone else care to suggest?

When I saw that there wasn't much going on in my area when I first got my car, I posted on the boards. Got to know whoever I could, and then started getting small get togethers going (Like the hooters meet in richmond where I met you). Chad has some wonderful meet ideas but his schedule does not allow for him to be able to follow through at the moment, but I am positive when he is free, you will have so many things marked on your calender your head will be spinning.

My advice is to get a drive or just a meet at a restaraunt somewhere (Any SOVA member). A CO badge is not needed to start a meet, I have heard about the meet status down there for awhile. I would take the bull by his horns if I were you. Like I said when time permits, Chad will have you putting more miles on your car changing the oil will be a weekly thing!

 

No need for the CO's (chad ) to "get me".It wasnt directed towards Chad or anyone for that matter.Maybe it was taken out of context? I wasnt directing it towards anyone in particular or even complaining about it..it was more of a push to get some input from the people in the area.Chad does an excellent job(when his schedule permits) which is why my original post stated that .That being said, I'd be happy to have this thread closed and add it to the already existing thread if need be. SlmdS2k brought this up and it went no where...I figured I'd "revisit" it since there seems to be interest from multiple people. If I could think of anything to do here locally i would have suggested it but it seems there may be more to do in the Va beach area. If someone could kindly throw out some suggestions (which was my intent) then I'd be more than willing to take the bull by the horns and set something up. Thanks for offering up the advice Brian and i'll see what can be done around the Richmond area in regards to setting something up....maybe alittle drive through the boonies.

I meant to state that the "Lets get a meet together" threads usually fizzle out before anything materializes. My experience is that when you want to get the group together, just pick a day, and throw a route or meeting spot together. Having threads trying to decide on a date just complicates things, where as if you have something done, people will come, and if they cant, organize another one and they will eventually make it out.

Noone is out to get you, Its good that the group wants to get out there and hang out, Chad does his best and in any area one person cant get the group together as much as everyone would like. Any meet is a good meet, just post up and I think youll be happy with your results (that goes for all of the mid-a, the more meets the better!)
