Of course - that one should've had a good turnout - the weather just didn't cooperate. I was referring to some of the other ones like the meet in the Bowie parking lots and the previous iterations of the Baltimore get-togethers.

You did great in stepping up and getting it organized; that's exactly what was needed to make it happen. Previously in the Baltimore/Bowie meets there was plenty of interest but no one stepped up - and you did this time.

I was just presenting the ideas that I think might help make meets happen, not ragging on anyone or any area for lack of organization. I apologize if what I suggested offended anyone.

What Poptarts said is exactly how we try to organize the Capital RSX meets and its why we have huge turnouts (Our Seneca State Park BBQ last spring had over 80 people!)...

Organization is key, but being one of the people who has planned meets in the past, it takes a lot of time and effort to start out organized and keep it organized.

I guess, but lets not confuse the threads. Lets keep the old thread going for that.

you all have great points about being organized however the reason i asked the question intially is because if there is already a group of people that get together on a regular basis to hang out then there is no point in being redundant. on the other side of the spectrum though, there is no reason to over complicate the whole thing, i was just trying to meet some new people with some of the same interests as me and grab a bite to eat and a couple beers. you smelling what i am stepping in?

I'm in for a weekly meet. I think Rick Hessel tried doing this a few yrs ago. I remember we met at an Applebes in Towson in January and all went for a drive.

The next 3 weekends are bad for me though. Autox school Saturday, autox on Sunday, both at Ripkin, autox in Hershey on the 23rd (huge lot) and another on the 30th (Phila. Region's Boing facility or Ripkin, not sure which), though I may end up working that weekend, not sure.

sounds good warren. i have always hung out with a core of people that have been dedicated to their cars and the friendships that have been established because of them. what does your schedule look like during the week?

on the topic of weekly meets and general get togethers, why dont we do some sort of FC05 dvd release. get the people who didnt go to see why they should go next year and reminisce about the amazing time those who went had.

i would totally be down for dinner and drinks some night, preferably the nova area.
