i use Mobile 1 synthetic in the motor, haven't changed the tranny yet and le 607 in the diff

Mobil1 synthetic Extend Performance in the engine
GM Friction Modified MTF in the tranny
LE 607 in the diff

FYI... I talked to Jeff (HardTopGuy) at the meet last Saturday about the LE 607 switch to 1605. He said that the only difference between the two is that the 1605 can pass through a very small filter where the 607 won't. Since there are no filters in our diffs this is moot. That is to say, as far as we care, it is the same stuff.

I see where what I posted above could be confused like that.

LE makes this stuff for all sorts of applications. According to their website, the 1601 to 1609 series of gear oils meet about a dozen different certifications and seem to have thousands of applications. I am sure some of them have filters. It just so happens we don't so we don't care.
