Default Wheel stud change

I'm in the midst of having to replace the wheel studs on the rear passenger side and am finding that it is pretty tricky and wondering if anybody's got experience with this and could point me in the right direction

This should help a bit if not a lot. http://www.robrobine...2000Bearing.htm, it's Rob's website and I think he don't mind if we all share the magnitude of knowledge he created. Check it out and good luck.

Yea, I don't know of any way to change out the studs without pressing out the hub. I would recommend you replace the wheel bearings when you do it. I like the Autozone Timkin bearings for about $36 each.

Just finished a few hours ago and yeah had to dissemble the hub and press out the bearing and replaced it with a timiken. Lesson learned never strip a wheel stud , not at all a fun job.

I feel your pain. Every time my STi is touched by someone else. (State inspection.) I discover cross threaded wheel studs next time I swap wheels. I'm up to number 5.

I am rocking mis-matched wheels right now because i discovered number five on a rear wheel after doing number 4 up front. A "two-for." I just left it and had to walk away. I was ready to burn the car to the ground.

I might have to install longer studs up front for a spacer to clear a big brake kit with RPF1 wheels.

Anyone know any draw backs of extended studs? Scca legal? Anything obviously may have to run open ended lugs. I also have a few messed up studs (came boogered up when I got it) deciding weather or not to go Arp or not.

I thought you moved to md? You know you only have to get an inspection once! And why didn't you call me I am a md state inspector.

The previous occurence was VA inspection last year, but then it happened again after my MD inspection. I knew you worked at a shop but forgot you did inspections.
