Default Where to get a new second key cut and programmed?

Curious if anyone knows where to get a key cut and programmed for a reasonable price in the DMV area. I have called 2 dealers and the lowest quote I got was $250 for the key itself and almost $400 for a fob.
I have also ordered one of those generic new key / fob sets off eBay in the hope that maybe I can get that cut and programmed somewhere for a cheaper price. Has anyone dealt with this before / have suggestions on where to get this done for a decent price?

80 is super cheap. Haven't had anyone quote me that yet.

So I did get this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Replacement...72.m2749.l2649
It came today and I was able to program the fob on my own, but now I just need to find someone to cut and program the key it came with.

how did you program it? I’m pretty sure any hardware store can cut it.

Try this.......

Things to remember make sure all the doors are closed (and boot is closed)

Sit in car and do the following

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II) Fully on.
2. Press the big button on one of the transmitters. (An unprogrammed transmitter can be used for this step.)
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) Fully off.
4. Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 two more times using the same transmitter used in step 2.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II) Fully on.
6. Press the big button on the same transmitter twice. Make sure the power door locks cycle to confirm that the system is in programming mode.
7. Within 10 seconds, press the big button on each transmitter twice. Make sure the power door locks cycle after you press each transmitter button to confirm that the system accepted the transmitter's code.
8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) Fully off and take key out to exit the programming mode.

Now you will find that both remotes work.

Things to consider, if like me you already had one remote fob, and your just adding a second you will need both fob's at the sametime to re-program to the car.

Cheers
Kiwi

And yeah, cutting the key is easy. I can get that done at home depot. But programming the chip in the key to the car is going to be the difficult / expensive part. Worst case I have to go to Honda but I wonder if they will even be willing to program the key I have, or make me buy it from them instead.

Armen Lock LLC in Gaithersburg MD quoted me $89 to copy and program.
I think I went there a while back to reprogram a used ECU but it was less than $89.

I found them online but they seemed to have a bunch of bad reviews.....
Anyways I ended up ordering a key programmer off eBay, and I had the key cut at Home Depot. Programmer comes tomorrow so hopefully it gets the job done.
