Default Windshield Fluid Resevoir

Hey guys. I went over a speed bump slowly and it hit something on the underside of the car. The next day I tried to use my windshield fluid (which I never use) and nothing came out. I thought maybe the nozzles were clogged when I noticed the blue liquid leaking from the front passenger side. I tried the fluid again after cleaning the nozzles and sure enough nothing came out. It seems that it only leaks when I actually engage the nozzles. Anyone experience this? Is there a DIY fix for this? It's not very important to me but if it's easy I'd like to keep the car in perfect working order. Thanks.

Could be that a hose came loose from the reservoir to the nozzles. Best guess is it would be between the pump and the nozzles, and not directly affecting the reservoir. Have you pinpointed where the leak is coming from?

That would make sense. Believe it or not I didn't pop the hood to check it out. I might have some daylight tomorrow after work. I'll check then. Is the whole assembly easily visible from the topside or do i have to jack it up and remove the plastic shield?

Most of the tubing runs along the bottom side of your hood. If it's between the hood hinge and the bottle itself, you'll be doing a bit of digging.

the leak comes from just behind the passenger wheel.

You'll need to remove the wheel and the plastic wheel well lining.

hehe. so i finally got a look under the hood in daylight today. the problem was quite simple. the rubber hose that connects the nozzles to the pump had disconnected where the resevoir is. i just slipped it back on. i have yet to try it but i'm sure everything will be fine now. thanks for all your feedback
