There were about 5 when I left at 6am and still snowing hard. Problem was there was some ice in there so I spun tires even in the 4x4.

We got about 2-3, I think. We had a 2-hour delay for work so most of it had melted by then

I opted to "work from home" today to avoid driving the S in the snow. As it turns out, I got a phone call from my soon to be boss telling me I got the promotion I was going after...so now I am "working" at a bar that has free internet!

i was eating at IHOP last night around 1 AM. it was fine when i got in, but when we finished eating the streets were covered with snow. so i had to take a few detours to avoid any hills and sharp turns. took a while to get home, but before i got home i stopped by an empty parking lot right by my house. i was sliding around the parking lot making 50ft donuts it was alot of fun until i almost got stuck. then i drove home.

I'm so glad I work from home.
Of course, I meant to get the WRX out in the snow to see how it did, but didn't get a chance before it was all gone. Just threw some heavy duty mudflaps on there too...

It's definitely all about the tires. I drove the last two winters with Blizzaks on the S and never had a problem. Heck, I was passing SUVs that were having trouble in the snow. I've got the S stored away for this winter since I've got the WRX, but I'd prefer to have some WS50's or other dedicated snow tire on the rex. I'll take all I can get.

My car is hybernating for the winter in it's den. Luckily, our daily beaters are both WRXs.
