Default WTB: Trunk floor lining

I always carry an extra quart of Mobil 1 in my trunk...usually I leave it in the bottle. A little while ago, I noticed the cap had come a little loose and the entire quart emptied in my trunk

Now my trunk floor lining is soaked with oil. Man is that stuff a bitch to get out. I also soaked the toolbox cover, toolbox, all the tools, and a set of jumper cables.

Rather than get more pissed off by having to clean the shyte up, I figured I'd ask around and see if anyone happened to have an old lining, toolbox cover, and maybe even the foam toolbox, lying around or know where I can get one for cheap.

Has anyone ever had a similar experience and know of an easy and effective way of getting oil out of stuff? I rather just replace everything, but if there's an easy way to clean the oil up, I might reconsider. Thanks for you advise.

Damn, just gave mine away to Mocky as he had the same thing happen. Seems to be a common deal. Good luck!

I have one from when I purchase the entire trunk carpet kit. Have no idea what one goes for though.

To save the next 'one-quart-wonder' ...anyone that practices this [smart] policy of keeping an extra quart in the trunk might wish to bag that quart in a large zip-lock bag.

Sorry to hear your frustration. Unfortunately, this has happened to a few members over the years. Good luck!

Majestic sells the lining for $90. I was hoping to pick up a used one for maybe a third of the price. What kills me is that they also sell the tool box lid for $26 It's just a piece of fuzzy corrugated plastic

I emailed HTG and I'm going to check with my local dealer for prices. Skip, I'll let you know what I find out and maybe I we can work something out. Thanks for the response

I'm already on it. Good idea... I just wish I had thought of it sooner.
