since i installed the AxialFlow, my Alex Ti knob has been rattling like crazy. i know it will help if i get a heavier, non-titanium knob because it's much better with the stock KNOB (edited). but i need something countersunk. let me know what you have. i have a Ti Alex knob to trade if interested: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...f=107&t=538391

i'm leaning toward a spun aluminum Voodoo with the usual Honda 6-speed pattern custom engraved on it, but i'd go with something else if i try it out and i really like it.

thanks
Rashad

the voodoo titanium knobs are solid titanium (heavier than the aluminum ones), not hollow like the Mr Alex one so I wouldn't rule out all titanium knobs.

^^i know, but i also don't feel like spending too much $$

but also, doesn't titanium conduct more vibration than other metals because of the fact that it is so much stronger?? the vibration is really what's killing me here.

^^i know i can help it with another knob. the awesome feel of the shifter outweighs the problem of the vibration, but i'd like to remedy the vibration as much as i can.

I'd imagine that a heavier knob would dampen vibrations more than a lighter knob, I highly doubt the type of metal has anything to do with it.

IMO I think you're attacking the problem from a wrong angle, it's not your shift knob's fault that your short shifter is adding more vibration into your shift lever...

You also have to realize that your shift lever isn't connected to your tranny via linkages like FWD cars, that alone is going to cause your shift lever to move/vibrate more.

oh i'm definitely not saying it's the knob's fault. and i know about the directly linked shifter. i just know that a heavier knob will help dampen the vibration because the stock knob vibrated much less.

and i still think that the type of metal does make a difference. i think i'll buy a titanium voodoo and sell it back if it's the same.

but i'm still looking for trades/local offers first
