was taking a friend for a ride to demonstrate the pure unadulterated power of a 7psi comptech supercharged s2000 with 4.77s and kaaaboom. I punched it from a 5mph roll and then hit second thats when it exploded. It didn't even give me any signs that it was going bad, no noise nothing.

hmmm... i wonder if it was the pinion gear that broke as it's weaker on a 4.77 ratio.

The teeth broke off the ring gear and bound up in the pinion and just exploded in the diff. The case cracked and blew the flanges and the axles out of the diff. No more 4.77s for me thats for sure. Great for NA, but far to weak for FI. I sure am going to miss them, but what are you going to do. When I do send the diff i'm getting to hardtop guy i maybe going with the 4.57s because they are much stronger. I think cause they are an actual Richmond gear and not out of a dam Kia.
