Thumbs up Coilover question

hi all, just recently bought a set of HKS Hipermax III coilovers for my baby. should arrive on the 3rd August. my question would be the ideal setup, ride hide for those crappy speed bumps around town etc. umair can probably give me advice on the spring rates that i might need. anything i should take note of?

cant wait!!!

I can surely advice you on spring rate, but since you have ordered it already, the spring rate will be preset. You cant change it. Unless you order a new set of springs for the same suspensions.

Ride height ... upto you, mine is slammed. Paul also runs quite low ... he will go lower when he comes to Dubai.

other settings ... S2ki is full of it... see whichever suits u best, if u want me to install it, adjust the height and then go with u for the alignment, let me know.

ordering different springs is not a problem. as much as i would like you to do the installation, if something goes wrong with the parts such as missing parts or problems (not saying it'll be your fault at all) during installation or after, the supplier wont help us.

setup, adjustments and alignment...there is no other person than you dude!! will let you know as soon as the kit arrives

Hmm, I will be up to see you too Umair, I still have the other spring sets for mine. Should I change these out or keep with what I have and just drop it?

I love the ride apart from the height, but worried I may have to firm it up if I go lower to avoid fender damage.....

Which other springs you have? Different rate? Will check, bring it. And height, you want to go lower or higher?

WOOHOOOO!! coilovers arrived and installed! what a HUGE difference!!! still need umair to fine tune it and get it re-aligned.

only drove it from the workshop to the house, but first impressions are: almost NO body roll (setting are currently on soft), whether hard cornering, braking or accelerating. steering feel has changed (alittle heavier). feels alot more responsive.

what a difference!

A lil negative in the front and a bit more at the back, stiffer front sway, soft bound at the back and hard bound in the front ... then you can take the brake pedal out of the car
