Default Got Beat by a GTS

So i was driving home to the Meadows with a passenger top down. A cayenne GTS 2008 model is by me, and he punches it. a second later i do the same, and im behind him and keeping up til he brakes for the R/A. after we exit, i punch and then he does, and he passes me till the speed breaker. Point being this kept going on, and i only pulled on him once, when i punched it about 4 seconds before he did. Was this only because i was starting in first gear from so much under VteC? or is that Car jst really fast?
4.8 litre machine.. the guy was all proud of himself saying yeah this is a family car urs is a sports car im surprised i beat u and im jst like... im quite shocked myself man! input? driving advice?

well ahmad is rite in case your car is bone stock... but if u have some mods for instance an intake system, headers etc. then you are more then capable of taking on a lot of cars on the road.
i aint an expert, but if you keep your revs in the 4-5K range and then launch, you wud get better results without causing too much harm to your transmission.
rolling start... even stock... s2k is a hard car to beat!

like ahmed said, without FI its pretty pish in a straight line, unless you are already near the 6k happy mark - and I would think mine is one of the quickest NA's around DXB.

Stick to track use, its better there

I think a Cayenne GTS can be beaten by a S2k. with a good standstill launch just like everyone said but doing a rolling start Cayenne with V8 4.8 has the advantage due to a lot of torque available. I bet you u would have passed him on higher speeds.

Well its always a learning experience

NEVER EVER race anyone with a passenger in your car... why?

- any extra weight on S ... slows it down major time

and errr

- why you risking others life?

Ok you went for the 2nd point ... what about the first one? Never race with a passenger due to weight issues
