I called voom last week and the guy recommended the Amuse R1000 dual for 9700 AED, Spoon Header 4-2-1 for 6500 AED and the AEM V2 CAI for 1850 AED all without installation charges.

I checked the R1000 on the net and I think it is way too loud for me. I am looking for something more reasonable in terms of sound and pocket. What really matters to me is to increase performance but without installing turbos, s/c or ECU.

Any one had experience with installing headers, cold air intakes and exhausts here? Who to approach? Is it really worth the investment?

my friend bought the exact stuff from voom...its really hard to gain power without ECU,SC or turbo its just waste of money if ur plane is like this ....all you will gain is maximum of 10hp!!

I want to avoid sc or turbo because of reliability problems. I want my engine to last me for a long time and I heard that there is no one with propoer experience for fixing the problems. And by the way I live in Abu Dhabi so I'll be really stuck if I have a problem.

best and cheapest thing to do is buy a rear diff with gears
i believe an s2000 with gears is actually faster than an s2000 with full bolt ons. there is a video on youtube that shows the difference between stock and gears.

let me know if u need a diff. i might have one with gears.

btw dont trust all stores abt mods. they either offer u the most expensive exhaust or intake to get a profit or they just dont know what they r talking abt. for example the spoon header was actually proven to make u lose hp.

the explanation is that the final gear ratio is higher which makes the gears run faster therefore making the car faster. thats the most simple explanation i could come up with lol. to be honest i dont know exactly how it works.

u just replace ur rear differential with one that has the new higher gear. and ur good to go.

drawbacks r few if none. the worst draw back i can think of is that ur top speed is lowered just a bit.
(ur not gonna race till u hit 260km i assume )

i dont think any1 makes them here.
most ppl order them but they can get pretty expensive because the diff weighs more than 25kg.

Do you know if anyone has installed them here and whether I kind find a technical explanation for it on the net?

If the car runs faster then why isn't this gear ratio installed by the factory to get better times for the cars during tests and comparisons against other cars?

alot of ppl have installed them on this site. i think its more popular than turbo since its way cheaper and ofcourse reliable.
