hood scoop wasnt for the looks it was for the ITB's but i agree makes it look like a rally car...

 

Hood scoops are purely for the ITBs, on race car you dont go for looks, first things first, which is PERFORMANCE ... which is taken care of quite well in the LAP57 civic. Now i think the owner can worry about the looks ...

 

Back to topic, exhaust systems. Good ones to go for:

- T1R
- TODA

you can consider J's racing, but they are over priced and also one pc, shipping is a killer on those and they crack, they are EXCELLENT for track only cars but not for street cars.

 

Umair thanks for the advice... all the parts your suggested are extremely effective, especially the thermo and fan switch, car stays cool as ice even after some long high revving sprints....

guess im gonna go for the fly wheel next, want that fast rev build up!!

 

what does the fan switch & t-stat do exactly?

 

the fan switch will allow your fan to operate earlier and turn off later

for Gulf countries those are recommended specialy for boosted applicaions

For people with my06+ fan switch will not work as it is controlled by the ECU only the rad cap and the thermo will work

but you can control the fan operating temp from the AEM EMS.
also i heared that the OEM t-stat is the best.
im getting the Koyo rad soon but i'll be using the OEM fans i guess

 

OEM's are good enough but in our countries,you need your engine to be relaxed at high extenal tempretures, specially that the F20C is high compression engine and every single factor will effect the eccefiency

with Koyo radiator, it will be more efficient IMO to run with thermo, fan switch and rad cap

at the end it depends on your driving style

 

yah ive heard that they crack but only after extreme track use, J's is proven the best in terms of HP gain...am i right?

 

J's titanium is excellent for RACE use only. You drive it around for longer period you will have it cracked from sensor housing and exhaust hanging points due to road/humps/pot holes etc. Have had 3 cases already of the same. If your car is for RACE USE only then go for J's

Otherwise i recomend you go for TODA or T1R. TODA has new straigh tip dual exhaust system as well. Check them out.

Also to consider spoon, if you are concerned about the looks.
