forget performance... if you own a s2000.. you shud only go to lap57! i used to think performance would be in the same league for the s2000 as lap57, but i was definitely wrong!
cheers!

I wouldn't go turbo due to the lag. A s'charger is the only way to go in my opinion on a VTEC engine. A mate of mine had a vortech on his EK4 and without any other mods put out 282.5bhp - from a 1.6
I think Vortech make a kit for the S, so try searching the FI forum on here for advice. S'charger gets rid of the annoying slow pick up from stand still that has the S beat every time.
just my 2c

I do not recommend Vortech at all for the S, its the worst kit out there for the S. Look into a Comptech/CT engineering or wait for the KraftWerks formerly known as Jackson Racing. The later is the best thing you can get and very close match to turbo (actually it is a belt driven turbo with very minimum parasitic drag on the engine unlike the Vortech.
Parasitic Drag
1- Vortech has the most
2 CT Engineering /Comptech
3- KraftWerks very less engine power used( has built in drive system to power the compressor upto 200,000rpm. yes that is faster then a Turbo
Remember you are in the low end for only fraction of the time, after that it is all Vtec so you should be looking at something that is Mid to high end power maker. But more the boost be it a turbo of SC your loosing drivability or track use, then you are just building a straight line monster

... forgive my ignorance
Racerf1 I agree with you when it comes to the supercharger kits you are talking about but is it possible to source a Kraftwerks kit in the UAE?
I contacted them and asked them about some technical question regarding the ECU they are providing with the kit (its a Hondata) since our cars share the same platform as a european s2k but not as an american one.
The reply I got from Kraftwerks is that it should work fine but for further technical questions I should contact Hondata in the U.S.
Umair I will definitely try to pass by LAP57 I'll call you before I do but the only problem is that I'm traveling quite a lot this couple of months.
Unless I can find somebody who can tune the damn DBW engine on my S2000 I'm more lean on picking up the GREDDY kit cause I have a couple of friends at 1000 dunes garage that can help tune the E-Manage and I'm sure the guys at LAP57 are more comfortable with the E-manage.

Hey Cyril ... get all the bits you want to do and there are ways of getting stuff done. My best suggestion would be to go for HONDATA, check it for DBW applications and its very easy to tune and comes with lot of base maps as well.
Let me know if you want to meet up at LAP57, i am normally there on Saturdays.
