Insurance: what do u pay?
State Farm quoted me $455 every 6 months for my '03 S. Coverages: $100 comp, $250 collision; liab 50/100/50. That's over $900/yr.
I live in Lee's Summit, have an accident-free record and maybe 1 speed 3 yrs ago. 33 yrs old, male, widowed. Have three other cars and my home insured with SF. If you know your coverages, put them, your age and your rate in your reply, please. My rate seems pretty high; am I mistaken?
Thanks!

It does seem a little high. I am paying 750/year: that is for full coverage, 250 deductible. I have my home and my other two vehicles through them.
One thing that you might want to consider is if your S is NOT a daily driver, and you don't put anymore than 6,000 miles per year, that can drop the rate about a 15% in addition to all your savings. I also have State Farm btw.
I am 28, have about 3 tickets (DO NOT TELL MY INSURANCE, I WILL FIND YOU
), and divorced....after my divorce my rates went up about a 10-12%....bastards!

I pay about $1,100/year to Farmers Insurance. That includes the usual discounts (home, multi-car) but the car is listed as a daily driver with a disance of over 5 miles. The kicker is the S gets penalized with a 'high performance surcharge' of 20% above the standard rate. Needless to say I think I will start shopping around. Anybody else have this 'high performance surcharge' or anything like it?
You are being cornholed. The S is a four cylinder LEV. You shouldn't be paying more than you would for a (yeeeech) PT Cruiser. They are supposed to charge according to the number of cylinders. Unless you have lots of speeding tickets, that might be tipping the scale.
