Default Invidia Silencer

Hi,
I was gonna go on a roadtrip to South Dakota - 29 then 90, to see Mt Rushmore just to get away for the weekend.

Any of you all done this drive? Warnings or suggestions? Cops? Good roads?

Also, I have what I think is a V3 Invidia dual cat back with flamed tips exhaust that I KNOW will be a pain after a few hours on the road. Anyone have silencers I can borrow for the trip? I can even put down a deposit as reassurance. I called Invidia and the guy said it would take weeks to order....

thanks

AC

Silencers don't do a thing for that exhaust. I wouldn't bother. I have only used mine once in four years of owning the exhaust.

In ear headphones maybe? lol

I've done Denver a few times with an exhaust just as loud and if you get it in the right rpm range and cruise control... it's not too terrible...

Not that hard to change when you don't break any bolts in the process

LOL - I woulda done something about it if I had more time. I left thursday AM and got back Saturday PM. Saturday was brutal. 11 hours straight with stops only for gas. The S2k was a dreeaaam. One ticket literally at Mount Rushmore - got so damn excited I was going 59 in a 35 on federal property - other than that, it was smoooth cruising, great roads going to Sylvan lake, etc.

The exhaust has definately caused hearing loss - its the sweetest sounding track ever - for short distances. Too bad the silencer does jack for it - on my RSX I had a catback comptech which was almost as loud, but the silencer helped.

Yep....I threw out my silencers in the trash after the one and only time I used them. Totally pointless to have them in the garage, they don't make a difference in the sound.
