1 - problem is that gift card sales are deferred revenue which they don't earn revenues and profits on until they're redeemed. If I sold gift cards successfully, I'm not sure I'd want to participate in the clearinghouse since I'd rather see the revenues from the gift card sales.
2- illegal
3 - those screens already exist, but I've seen them marketed for privacy in planes, airports, coffee shops, etc. mainly for sensitive business info. Marketing to porno shops may be a different angle, but w/o owning the IP, you're just a middleman, and there would be minimal barriers to entry from other competitors.
4 - flight delay tracking works well b/c there's a central tracking group (the airports/FAA) w/ no bias in how the results turn out. How would you assure integrity of self-reported results? You'd also need to figure out how to monetize it, since doctor choices tend to be relationship vs. transactional oriented (i.e. I'd expect visitors to view it very infrequently, mainly when looking for a new doc, limiting advertising revenue)

accounting = debit cash and credit... deferred revenue? .... at what point in the life does the deferred revenue become free $ if that card is never actually used?
seems like the recipient of the card would love something like I was talking about.... the ability to have it be used anywhere...?
